Macedon, New YorkMacedon, NY Weather http://www.weather.com/weather/today/Macedon+NY+USNY0844 Macedon, part of the Southwest corner of Wayne County, was named after the Ancient Macedonian Kingdom, birthplace of Alexander the Great. East of Rochester and West of Syracuse, this quiet town became a port to the Erie Canal. Now its best known for its agriculture and the Macedon Academy, which started in 1841 and is now a historical center for Macedonians. Originally Macedon was created from the town of Palmyra after the Phelps and Gorham Purchase in 1789. It has now become a kingdom of heart, soul, and flowering agriculture in Rochester.
