This town is home to about 6,700 people neighboring to Pittsford and Perinton. Originally knowns as Despatch, it was built to house the employees of Merchants Despatch Corporation and the Aeolian Piano Corporation. Parts of each corporation still lay intact today. It is now known as the "Little Italy" of Rochester having most of its descendants from Italy. There are many award winning Italian restaurants to bring the authenticity home to Rochester. 

While this town has experiences two tragic disasters through its railways, it is still considered the "home of champions" through its local sport teams. With Don Quinn's legendary leadership, and now his daughter's coaching, this town has led itself to be the best of the best. One of its more notable sports has been cheerleading winning with six national champion titles and nine section five champion titles, as well as various titles from local competitions. It also bred the world champions of little league in 1966 and with East Rochester's innovation, they were the first to play outdoor on field turf. 

This town, while small has achieved great things. Not to mention giving birth to an amazing golf architect as Robert Trent Jones.
