Churchville, New YorkChurchville, NY Weatherhttp://www.weather.com/weather/today/Churchville+NY+USNY0270 Churchville, a quaint town named after Samuel Church, is west of the city of Rochester in the North part of the Town of Riga. The village is located on Black Creek and connects to Rochester, the Town of LeRoy as well as the town of Batavia. It has been said that Churchville, like many of the towns in Rochester, was “made up of a class of citizens who are cultivated and refined and who have constantly their “shoulder to the wheel,” and who are bound to keep pace with the times and make their village one of the important towns in Monroe County and western New York.” That is still true to this day with its flourishing greatness one would expect from one of Rochester’s many hometowns. Two, of many spots that make Churchville a town of rich culture, is the golf course as well as the Churchville Park. This park includes 742 acres with five lodges and six shelters. A perfect spot for any boat launch or disc golfing with its disc golf course next to their ice rink and tennis courts. A park that was sure to perfect Tim Redding’s arm for the New York Yankees who too was a Churville Chili native.
